We did look at user satisfaction, more on the “after” end than the “before,” but I think of that more as protection against inadvertent disaster than anything.

With more than three months…well, honestly, given what we were able to accomplish in the time we had I’d be reluctant to spend more time given what else we could do with that time. But if we did have more time, I’d (a) make some systemic UX changes to improve usability, and (b) look at ways to further consolidate our design system across the product and across design and implementation.
